The Galleria Mall is envisioned as a commercial centre of the Al Wasl residential district. A two-storey community Retail Centre forms the front of the  development, with residential Al Wasl Villas behind it. The key design feature, a triangulated roof formed with laser-cut aluminium plates, gives a recognisable character and necessary visibility to the building from the busy road, animating the interior and creating a comfortable shade around the exterior.

The Mall comprises an anchor deli outlet, four food and beverage units, twenty-two retail outlets on the ground and first floors, and an open-air cinema on the roof. A single, central, sky-lit route links the units within a pedestrianised arcade. Two large circular skylights, located on either side of the mall, serve as focal points within the interior. Retail, as well as food and beverage units, are double-fronted, maximising their potential with external landscaped pathways and external dining terraces at ground and first floors.
