Simon joined the Practice in 1990 and is the Principal in charge of our Dubai design studio. His early work with the practice includes Jubilee Campus for the University of Nottingham, which transformed a disused bicycle factory into a BREEAM 'Excellent' academic park for 2500 students. He helped lead the practice’s efforts to establish an international presence in the early 2000s, beginning with the design for GEK’s headquarters in Athens and Shin-Marunouchi Tower in Tokyo.

Simon founded our Dubai design studio in 2004 and has since led the teams on a number of project in the Middle East and Asia. These include Gate Village, a dynamic mixed-use neighbourhood featuring art galleries, restaurants and offices and a mixed-use development of ten buildings in the Dubai International Financial Centre. He has recently completed a residential development at Zekeriyakoy in Istanbul, a new office tower in central Tokyo, the Buhais Geological Museum and the Khor Kalba Turtle & Wildlife Sanctuary, both in Sharjah.

Currently he is designing a Neurological Institute for Cleveland Clinic in Ohio, a new Institute which incorporates 15 disparate Neurological Centres and is one million square feet in size. In London he is developing new visitor facilities for the Highgate Cemetery.
