Technical Director

Tony joined the Practice in 1994 and was made Technical Director in 2023.

Early work with Hopkins includes Portcullis House and Haberdashers’ Hall in London, which won multiple awards including the New Building Award from the Company of Chartered Architects.

Tony leads the development of processes that will support our design team in delivering a high quality project to meet the client’s requirements and aspirations. He has extensive experience through the construction phase of the technical design matters likely to arise, and how to resolve those through the contractual relationships and capabilities within the wider team. Past projects include those for Goodwood Racecourse and the Lawn Tennis Association, and Tony has recently completed our Sports and Aquatic Centre for Eton College. He is currently working on a new Science and Technology centre at Haileybury.
