South Molton Triangle development approved by Westminster Planning Committee January 5, 2021
Hopkins Architects secured approval from Westminster Planning Committee for a £500 million part-retrofit part-new build scheme in London’s Mayfair, featuring two new office buildings, 33 homes and a hotel.
The South Molton Triangle, a 33,000m² new development for Grosvenor Britain & Ireland, will create 14,000m² of office space and 5,000m² of shops and restaurants.
The proposals also include the conversion of four Grade II-listed town houses on Brook Street into a boutique hotel, and a row of listed Georgian buildings on South Molton Street will be adapted and renovated to create new homes.
The scheme’s public realm proposals involve transforming Davies Mews into an al fresco dining space and new micro-retail units will provide animation to South Molton Lane.
Hopkins Architects are working with historic buildings adviser Donald Insall Associates on the project, with BDP advising on the public realm.
