Our Music School at King’s College School Wimbledon has won a RIBA National Award in recognition of its outstanding architectural merit. The judges were impressed by the “delicate detailing and marquetry of the structure, materials and lighting/services co-ordination” and remarked that the building is “evidently being much used and enjoyed by the school.”
The RIBA National Awards are among the most rigorously judged awards for architectural excellence and recognise the most significant contributions to British architecture in the past year. The project was shortlisted from over 550 entries and is one of 54 National winners.
