Hopkins House Grade II* Listed June 18, 2018
Hopkins House, designed by Michael and Patty Hopkins for themselves in 1976, has been granted Grade II* Listed Building Status by Historic England.
The house is located on Downshire Hill in Hampstead, London, and was also used as an office for the first decade of the practice.
Hopkins House was listed for reasons of architectural interest, as "a highly elegant and economic lightweight steel frame and glass building, in the High-Tech tradition; and historic interest as "an early and key building by this prolific post-war practice, one of the leading exponents of High-Tech and of experiment with structure and materials, where energy efficiency is a key tenet of the practice."
