Hopkins to design University of Bath School of Management February 16, 2018
Hopkins Architects have been appointed to design a New School of Management for the University of Bath, following a competitive selection process.
Situated at the Claverton Down Campus, the new building will encourage a fluidity of response to the different learning and teaching styles of best contemporary pedagogic and research practice. It will enable students and staff to interact, learn, teach and conduct research in a variety of spaces ranging from lecture theatres to less formal social and group learning spaces to academic research clusters. Additional facilities such as an 'Entrepreneurship Lab' and 'Employers Hub' will form part of the School's drive to reach out to and engage with industry and the community.
Designed specifically to relate to the Campus parkland heart, this gateway building is intended, subject to planning permission following discussion with the local authority, to form part of a masterplan which seeks to further integrate ongoing development of the University into its superb landscape setting.
