Swansea University New Campus gets Planning December 21, 2012
Hopkins plans for new faculty and student residential buildings have been approved by Neath Port Talbot Council as part of the new Swansea Bay Campus for Swansea University.
The approval includes faculty buildings for a College of Business and Economics, Engineering faculty Innovation Hub & Manufacturing Facility and "SMaRT" research building as well as student residential accommodation for 500 students.
The development is the first phase of the new campus based on a brownfield site previously occupied and decontaminated by BP.
The project was carried out in collaboration with Porphyrios Associates, who master-planned the site, and designed further faculty and student residential buildings for the first phase of the campus.
