Carsten Bergerfurth

Project Architect

Carsten studied at Aachen University (RWTH) in Germany, and is registered as an Architect in both the UK and Germany. He worked in Ireland for three years where he gained experience across a range of sectors including residential, hotel, commercial and healthcare, before moving to London in 2007.

 

Carsten has worked in several London-based AJ100 practices, in the roles of Architect and Project Architect at all project stages, from concept design and planning to construction and post-completion, with a focus on construction detailing. His notable projects include the renovation and extension of Grade II listed British Columbia House at No. 1 Regent Street for the Crown Estate, the transformation of the derelict former Fish & Coal Offices as part of the King’s Cross regeneration, and a Sports Hub Building for the University of Warwick.

 

Carsten joined Hopkins in 2017 and was made a Project Architect in 2019. He worked on the construction of 100 Liverpool Street, and was responsible for coordinating all of the services, and the delivery of the high-quality front of house areas. He is currently part of the project team for the School Sports Centre at Eton College.
