Benjamin Ferns

Associate Director

Benjamin has worked at Hopkins since 2015, following studies at The Bartlett where he received several awards, including the Sir Banister Fletcher Medal and the Bartlett School of Architecture Medal for the best graduate. He has also won the RIBA Serjeant Award and SOM fellowship for his thesis project. Benjamin was made an Associate Director in 2020.

His early involvement at the practice includes multiple hospital projects in North London, and residential projects from concept to site execution. He is currently leading a team to deliver five star-plus hotel suites, along with events and guest amenity spaces with American designers - Peter Marino - at the Peninsula London.

Benjamin is a regular critic at The Bartlett and his work has been exhibited at the Royal Academy of the Arts in London, and printed in Wallpaper magazine. He is inspired by the wider creative industries, to articulate the ethos of an idea through research, drawing, and a focus on fine detailing.
