Angus McDougall

Project Architect

Angus joined Hopkins in 2012 following his studies at Oxford Brookes University. He has worked in both our London and Dubai offices and was made a Project Architect in 2020. 


Angus has worked on projects from concept to completion that range in sector, size and complexity. Working with Principal Simon Fraser, he is frequently involved with the practices' international projects and has recently been closely involved with the design and construction of two unique visitor centres on environmentally and historically sensitive sites.

On the Buhais Geology Museum, Angus’ role included the coordination of the design team and exhibition designer Ralph Applebaum Associates. This engaging visitor experience, complete with exhibits, immersive theatre, café and site trail, is carefully set amongst an extensive necropolis containing burial sites from the Stone, Bronze and Iron Ages.

Angus in currently based in our London Office and has been recently working on the Al Qurum Turtle Sanctuary, a visitor and conservation centre set into a protected coastal nature reserve in Sharjah, UAE.
