Modelmaking

Three dimensional models are central to the design development of all our projects. We like to make these at all stages of the design process and a t a variety of scales; from the inception of the project to understand the site context right through to full scale mockups of construction details. The in-house team of experienced model makers led by Martyn Corner have therefore developed a rich variety of skills and techniques as a response to the diverse materials and geometries used on our projects. Recent advances in automated form generation such as rapid prototyping and sintering have allowed us use 3D CAD information to generate physical models and explore complex geometries. Presentation models often prove fundamental in the planning and approvals process as a reliable and informative means of communicating architectural proposals to a wider audience.
